Today starts my first day of summer break! ☀️
As much as I'm eager to take a load off, I want to keep pressure on myself to be productive! So first off, let's tackle some Highway happenings
ICYMI, an update dropped on the 5th , where we see our heroes help their very first client. Wonder what hes got locked up in that vault?
As for the next update, the story is outlined and page 1 is nearing completion... with our most recent character unlock, we can freely switch back and forth from S&K to Janky at a moments notice!
Also, check out this sweet QOH crown ( now dubbed, as of this newspost, the Highway Crest)! I made it for my sculpture final, in a burst of inspiration while working on the last update. The assignment was to create a " wearable ", so I had to take some artistic liberties here with triple deluxed layers, but I think it came out awesome! In 14 years, I will bestow the now crusty, worn version of this crown on the most accurate QOH cosplayer at Highwaycon 2040. True factid.
In addition, I'll be tweaking the site and filling out some barren spaces ( more about that later ). I am steadily approaching the storage limit for neocities, so this summer I want to look into opening commissions
This brings us to another topic, making more stuff! I want to make a bunch of experimental shit this summer, in the art and video mediums specifically. For the past few years I've tried to put on an " air " of professionalism and treating this as a job... and that sucked greasy dick. I'm just another dink on the internet! Being uptight and clean about my online presence doesn't suit me!
FINALly, the Janky's Bin tab will be updated soon! This semester I've been working on another comic ( Highway already filed the divorce papers, its over guys. its fucking over. Full custody too. I'll never see Strider's ugly face again. Fuck. ) dubbed Wundergrowth! It's nearing completion, so I'll have a newspost up soon with insights you might find interesting! Consider it a intermission during the current highwatus

Hello! Welcome to the first Highway site newspost! Here I'll be using this as a psuedo news blog + diary for those curious to what I'm up to most days. Shoutout to my friend Shmooving for helping me figure this layout out.
So... Highway, huh? As of today, it's been two months since the last update O.O. Which I feel pretty shitty about, as I went into this year with the resolution to do the opposite. So, what happened? It was the perfect storm of school starting again, work, decision paralysis, and the release of Mewgenics to completely ruin my workflow. It's a game that we all love to play, where you waste 422 hours and throw any other hobbies away-ay-ay.
Seriously though, the next update is essentially done, just needs a bit of color touch-up. I'm holding off on dropping it until I have more pages ready, so a hiatus this long never happens again. The plan is to drop it in early May, then update again later in the month to make up for missing one.
*sits in my jester jhair* is there anything else... hm.... oh yeah! im working on ANOTHER comic for my college course, which i will hopefully be able to share with you all soon! I'd like to step abit out of my artistic territory with it, since my style has more or less stayed the same over the past 5 years. me wants experimentation!
